Maybe I should become a chef. Not a naked one due to the risk of spattering hot grease and live lobsters. Every chef needs a niche to work off of - mine will be the George Foreman Grill. Imagine opening a restaurant, cooking everything on the G.F.G., and charge a fortune.

WMAN, the local AM radio station was running a contest called "Mad Cash Disease" and that alone is great; everyone is a winner with that.

T-shirts I failed to buy on vaction:
"I Love My Weiner" and "My Weiner Does Tricks" both referring to the dachshund.

So who's got dachshund on their mind?

I went to my sister's softball game last night and got into it more than I should've. My calling is for me to coach my own team.

Keith gave me his "Life's 51 Songs" and I say it is quite well produced/compiled.

blog number 333:

watching Family Matters and Step by Step back-to-back on a rainy Monday afternoon is actually better than it sounds. The Cod(e)-Man rivals Urkel for my favorite TGIF character.

I also failed to mention the family visit to Hooter's last Saturday evening. Working there is practically legalized prostitution. Poor girls, hot pants.

Only highlight of interest from last week's vacation to the OuterBanks:

Saturday night at the local bar watching a totally drunk guy (who resembled Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber) make a complete fool of himself in front of three girls. "Lloyd" who's really name is Todd, had the quote of the week when the objects of his affection got up to leave:
I quote Todd, Where's my bitches goin?

My cousin (Army), his best friend (Army), and I (civilian) took over where Todd left off - talking to the three girls* with the subject being Kentucky basketball, Rick Patino, Bobby Knight, and NCAA basketball in general. I suppose you had to be there and have your share of beers to make it as interesting as I am describing it.

* - these girls had been drinking enough and that's exactly why my cousin and his buddy made their "introduction." You can learn a lot about meeting girls from Army guys.

I must say I had a ball with Keith & Scotty this short weekend. Richard, Ivan, Goran, John, and Greg kpet it real and kept me laughing. I've been laughing more these days and I also like making people laugh.

Wedding Tip #1: make sure your wedding song contains a lapsteel guitar.

Pizza at midnight can never go wrong.

Even blogs nees a vacation.

It is my last day here at the office. My resignation was taken warmly and I am very happy to be leaving on good terms. You should only have to leave Jazzercise and chess matches on bad terms.

I'm working on finishing my masterpiece a.k.a "Life After Palomar 5: Alfa-Medical"

Bad news Keith. You won't have access to the laptop this weekend.

In my opinion, this is the only way to die.

So the Pistons won the Championship. I'll take that. Thinking about it, I can't name many teams that deserve a championship more. No, not even Lebron James deserves one yet. Utah deserved one years ago. Boston deserves one because their uniforms are cool. It's as simple as that. Three people at work resigned today and I was NOT one of them - copycats?

Watching Marky try to sleep in one of the Izgherian's "Hobbit Beds" was a trip. Even better was Marky in his underwear waking Kristin up to ask if he could sleep in her parents' bed.

WORLD CHAMPIONS

I'm not very good at trying to become a drunk. This was apparent over the past weekend whereas I had myself a "grand slam," drinking four different types of alcoholic beverages consecutively, not getting drunk, and eventually feeling bored with the whole concept of mass consumption. To be perfectly honest, boozing in excess isn't fun for me - the guilt complex. I did have a "Vex" vodka cooler and the only thing fun about that was its horrible name and the even worse puns that could be produced from its name.

I'm still tired and it's Tuesday. Another incredible storm hit last night causing me to have to take TWO detours this morning on my commute to work. That's cool, I'm feeling like the Lakers in the sense that I show up for work knowing I'm not going to "win" and therefore feeling defeated / unmotivated.

Friends from my middle school & high school days keep appearing in my dreams. WHY?

This is what true drunks look like...

Home from Windsor and what a whirlwind of a weekend. A little too much to drink, but not nearly enough. I didn't think it was possible to have a Windsor weekend without Udickis. There's so much to comment on. A brief synopsis:
Phillip Seymour Hoffman = greatness
Sleep = little
Friends = incredible
Weather = beautiful
Rich = pfeiffer

I do feel like somewhat of a scumbag for not shaving before church today.

And now how was your weekend?

It's disco Vietnam out there!
I'll admit to seeing "Starsky & Hutch" last night - and liking it.
Entertainment scale (1 to 10): 8.7

When John Izgherian leave his kingdom alone for the week, things apparently fall to pieces. I've tried call the siblings yet get no reply. Get your game in gear.

I'm afraid this might be something Keith's dad is tinkering on in his garage.

Sign a deal for real. $90 mil for real... - name the song AND artist

The rain only cooled America off for sleeptime and once again today, I will walk outside and get stuck because it is 105% humidity. We can't move.

If you are having a bad day, let me know. I have the solution and it involves a fax machine. I can also use US Mail but that takes days and BAD DAYS are NOW. I am having a pretty good day myself.

Marky, you shouldn't be going to Kitchener. You won't get your exclusive Palomar File cd from me.

I keep failing to mention the most awesome feat ever accomplished in metal history:

Manowar setting the Guinness World Book of Records for loudest live performance. 160 decibels. Salut!

Hump Day. Better crack open a Sierra Mist because today is gonna be a hot one. 90+ degrees? Why not make it 98 Degrees. I still fail to understand how that can be a musical group's name. 98.7 is the average body temperature, so does 98 make it below average? In this case yes and the proof is Nick Lachey.

Apparently Keith doesn't like golf. What are his feelings about fly fishing? Let's find out... I plan to go FLY FISHING this evening.

And if you didn't think holograms could die, I give you Ronald Reagan. I'm too young to really remember him, but he seemed cool and did good things. A sad day in America but his face on the ten dollar bill? Hamilton cannot be happy with that. I do think having your name associtated with the term Voodoo Economics is incredible.

Although I do plan on emailing Marky about this weekend, I wanted to express my strong desire of playing golf on Saturday. Including Rich Pfeiffer "wood" be nice.

RELAX.

I'll agree with Goran when I say the new Scion vehicles are pretty cool. I like the M.P.G. on them too.

Tampa Bay beat Calgary last night and I won't say that proves Florida is better than Canada except maybe in hockey. This year's Stanley Cup is a black cloud over the Great White North.

I've decided to do some good in this world. Effective July 24th, I will be going to Northern Arizona for at least five weeks of volunteer work. My job? Consider yourself terminated. I haven't left yet, but I will eventually.

Another great weekend thanks to the cooperative weather!

Goran LIVES!
So Mr. Hollywood is coming back to Ohio? Goran, if you are reading this, I can be in Akron on the 19th (a Saturday) but Sunday I will be leaving for N. Carolina.
Post your COMMENT if you read this.

P.S.S.
Pistons won last night, proving the MidWest is better than SoCal.

Keith and I had a pretty intellectual discussion about how America should really look. I present the Metzger Topographical Map of America.

Yes, I spared northern parts of NM & AZ and parts of NV (area51). Please note in order to balance the universe, NJ was subtracted.
Who wouldn't want to go to the ocean in OH? Surfs up in KS? COWABUNGA.
What you ask? Oh, we get rid of those states by melting Antarctica and physics takes over.

Working for a modeling agency OR working for a unicorn pizza parlor?

So far this week I've spent every dinner as a "Softball Widow." While my sister, Stephanie "the Nuke" continues to rack up K's, I sit in front of the kitchen TV watching Spinal Tap (w/ band commentary ON.) Oh, I'm not complaining either.

I can count 1,2,3,4,5 seperate groups of people traveling to Europe this summer. Six if you count Jess' trip from this spring. I'll name them:

1. Ana (w/ Maja & Amy) - London, Paris, etc.
2. My sister - study abroad in Nantes, FR (the one I did)
3. Amanda Scharlb (w/ Suzi Z.) - Germany
4. my neighbor Courtney - all over Europe
5. Becky - Wild on Rome
(6. Jess - Southern Europe)

Notice they are all ladies? Ok, Marky was in Jugo. He's a boy, make him #7.

of note: Go work at the GAP.

Thursday, June 03, 2004

People just aren't on the Internet much these days.

I am currently evaluating multiple options as to how I am going to fill out my "How I spent my Summer" report. I'll keep you updated and some people might not believe what I am going to do. Or where I am going... suspense.

Witnessing a fender bender while entering work this morning was pretty sweet.

I was thinking, "has Marky eaten any Nachos Belgra(n)de while in Jugoslavia?"

Tuesday, June 01, 2004

I saw Goran posted in his blog. I should say something controversial to chide him into posting more. Post your comments as to why Goran should post more than once a quarter.

It's June and it is not even 60F degrees here. I am in a fairly grumpy mood given the fact I have to go back to work today. My Memorial Day was not that fantastic due to the power company cutting the power for an hour to repair powerlines, the rain, and the butthole who told my Dad and I we couldn't fish on the neighborhood pond. At least I get a four day work week. I skipped my 830am meeting because I had no desire to wake-up 30 minutes early.
