Warm fronts and cold fronts bumping into each other like old friends last seen together long ago make such wonderful thunderstorms.

MONSOON season 2005 is upon us.

and like Missy Elliot, I can't stand the rain. I'm headed to Grand Teton National Park tomorrow morning and I'm still a bit apprehensive about the 18 hour drive there, all in one day mind you. So if you're planning on calling me, save your quarter. I'll be incommunicado for roughly 3 weeks. I could call you if I wanted to though. I'll hold it down in Wyoming while you're gone, Nicole. I PROMISE.

Portrait of an American Dynasty

I think I need to fly back to Cheyenne and have this photo re-shot due to the ugly grimace on my face. Perhaps it was the ultra-tight jeans?

Give 'Em the Boot

Cheyenne is a graveyard for retired cowboy boots...

My past 6 days have included:

camping
cowboys
country music
campfires
coffee
cuddling

pizza
baseball

All of this happened in Cheyenne, Wyoming. What a fantabulous time I had. Good weather, good fun! That was the 10 cent overview of my trip. What I really want to say is that I'm truly in love and everything just seems to just feel right.

Buzzkill:
landing in Phoenix, dead-tired. get a phonecall from the boss telling me that I'm to go on project for 4 days starting tomorrow. Nice, I'm tired and I need to do some things before I am to go to the Tetons. I guess I'll use that ONE day off (Sunday) to accomplish everything. The only perk is that I'm getting a rental car to drive up to the North Rim for project and that British Matt is the supervisor. I haven't seen that dude since last October.

More or less, I'll be spending the next 4 weeks in Wyoming.

Since I was sick more or less of the entire past project (8 days) at the Grand Canyon, I've been trying self-diagnosis.

The flu? Nah. I think I've settled on a mild case of Lou "Mr. Oktober" Gehrig's disease.

Here's to drinking coffee and pizza. Pazaa!

The week of July 4th

Monkeying Around

Mystery Feet

My Meeting with the Axis of Evil

I went to the climbing gym, drank beer in the shadows with foreign dignitaries, and met Scotty (aka the Taran-Tula) face-to-face in Flagstaff.

P.S.
Dear Diary,
I lost my beard.
