It has finally happened. I have completed my season here with ACE. Seven-point-Five months of ups and downs, I've learned a lot about myself. I intend to return next Spring (to the dismay of some) for a similar stint, but in the meantime I plan on visiting some friends. Flagstaff is getting colder and I'm wearing socks to bed.

I wish Ohio had some mountains.

Climbed a mountain today. Feeling quite hungry, tired, and _______. I can't put my finger on what exactly it is that I am feeling/missing.

I tried to say that I had an uneventful week off, but somehow I didn't pull it off...
Wednesday Night: piss-drunk, puking, and passed out in my bed by midnight
Thursday Night: attended my first (and last) Frat party next door
Friday Night: witnessed drunken Irish jigs preformed by the "Boys from Cornwall"
Saturday/Sunday Nights: camping in Moab, UT along the Colorado River
Monday Night: asleep by 9pm
Tonight: sushi, mix cd construction

My project has been delayed until Thursday due to inclimate weather and lack of materials. A snowday in my opinion, tomorrow. There is actually a call for snow tonight - it's that cold these days. I've been informed that there's "massive dinosaur footprints" in St. George, Utah according to Sam(antha). That's where I may have to go to get more material next week. Sidetrip: DINOSAURS
I bought the new Death Cab For Cutie album today. Yes, it is over-produced but the songs are good. As good as the latest Troublebooks album? I don't know. I have more pictures to post of the weekends trip to Canyonlands and Arches National Park, hence the camping in Moab. It was quite cool.

Anti-Lope Fencing along the Utah/Arizona border. I'm getting comfortable with capturing that "perfect sunset" now. Things are getting done around here now. I've approximately 3 weeks left until I set sail for the Heartland. I found myself a free pair of shoes (the O'Riordan's are near death) and simply put, life is good. I'm so happy right now. Part of me yearns for Ohio, the other half is begging me to stay just-that-much-longer. I want to but I cannot. 2005 might be "my year." 2001 was damn good though. 2005 was "alot about living and a little 'bout love."

So maybe I didn't go camping last night and that's okay because today I went on a little roadtrip to Oak Creek Canyon for some hiking and cliff jumping ("tombstoning" as DaveUK calls it.)

My next project may be shortened from 8 days to (x) days due to a shortage of materials. I project it to last 5 - 6 days. Sweet deal considering how much I wish to get out of there.

It also looks like I'll be staying here until the end of the month. One extra project to do as a favor to my boss. I don't mind it so much because I've really enjoyed myself this past month and I feel good about my job and overall life situation. Plus, it's an extra paycheck that will cover my entire past 4 months rent. Pazaa!

Stepping on Geysers is FUN

I spent last week in the middle of nowhere, near Freedonia (Stankonia), Arizona. I served my duty well, mending fences all in the name of the Pronghorn Antelope. Quite a boring job, but at least the sunrise/sunsets were TIGHT. I came back a day early to surprise Ms. Emilie. Here she thought she wouldn't see me again before she left this past Wednesday. Trust me when I say I can produce magical surprises. How difficult was it for me to take her and her brother Vincent to the Flagstaff airport? Tough.

ACE held it's end-o'-summer bbq spectacle last evening and 30 gallons of beer were provided by the organization. It would've been nearly flawless if the homeless guys on the pavilion next to us wouldn't have tried to start trouble with us. It was cool though, I was the last to leave the party and the dudes came over and apologized for the drunken behaviour of their friend. "Keep warm, guys," I said.

Breakfast at Denny's with two Brits is amazing. Kept me in stitches.

P>S. Keith - I had my first Spark energy drink last night along with a 20oz. coffee at 2 in the morning. Perhaps that's why I awoke at 330am wide awake and now I'm so dragging. I can't ride the tiger anymore, bud. Spark was good though.
